MicroFactory — general purpose robot for automating manual work

Our story:

Our story:

Automate work that was previously impossible to automate.

Work with deformable objects, pick materials from stacks or piles, and handle real-world variability.

Reduce tooling for operations that could be automated with existing tools.

Hybrid AI model reliable like code

A hybrid approach lets the model take the best of both worlds: it can be reliable, predictable, and editable like code, while still handling the randomness of the physical world.

Focus on your areas of expertise

You don’t need to write code to program the robot. You can do it with teleoperator movements and pressing “Start” / “Save” buttons.

Basic programming concepts like loops and if-else statements are still helpful.

Don’t be limited by the types of tasks

Our model is task-agnostic, so you can train it for any operation using the same principles. The robot can handle both high-precision tasks and complex, nuanced movements.

How to use it

3 simple steps:

Feature Image
  1. Show basic movements

Choose the part of the task with randomness.

Move the arm to the target area and save the point so the object is within the camera’s field of view.

Show the robot the basic movements using the teleoperation kit.

Try to keep the high-level motion consistent, leaving the model to handle the final alignment.

  1. Nudge it in real time

Run the model, and if it misses the target, roll the robot back and use the teleoperation kit to nudge it and refine the movement. Model will learn from this adjustments.

After a few iterations, the model learns the pattern and the robot operates reliably.

  1. Chain in a loop

Chain atomic operations into a loop.

The robot moves in a straight line between starting points.

Run the robot, and when new situations appear where it lacks precision, use the teleoperation kit to nudge it again until the workflow is reliable.
